A nice spot for a picnic

Just a quick one as don't have much time. I arrived here from Wanaka today. Spent yesterday hiking up to the Rob Roy Glacier in the Mount Aspiring range near Wanaka. This was incredible - a lovely day walk, although quite a few people around. I'm a bit dubious about this blogging thing... but I've been convinced to give it a go. I'm heading off tomorrow (17th Feb) to NZ for my month's adventure. Thought this would be a nice record of the trip for myself - please feel free not to read it. There will be no profound philosophical analysis, probably not much wit, plenty of typos, and possibly a few photographs - but that depends on whether I can improve my grasp of technology. (ps.
