As if she wouldn't recognize us, we decided a sign was in order to grab her attention.

YEAAA!!!! Kirsten has arrived and the noise level and energy flow around the house has increased a notch! Upon her arrival to the airpor and after much practice, our driver tells Kirsten in his best english, "Welcome to Shanghai". After much practice, I tell Kirsten in my best chinese "Huan ying lai Shanghai!". She emphatically responds "xia xia!" And we're on our way. ... read more

In 2006, our family began what we thought was a 3 year adventure of living and traveling in China. But like Gilligan, our 3 year tour turned into something much longer and deeper than we expected. This was just the beginning of our cultural travels and blogs. 3 years turned into 6 years and included a time of residence in South Korea as well.
