ENGLISH Granada the jewel of Nicaragua or something. We'd read a little about this town and expected a lot. Happily we weren't disappointed. It had the colonial buildings (why is "colonial" not a dirty word) and the "beating heart" town square, which alongside the market streets made it a town worth dwelling in for a few days.
