The Stelae of El Ceibal (2)
Many of the stelae in the main plaza were at the base of the structures and some were standing alone, but they were all beautiful.

My time in Guatemala has been finished for quite a while now, but, due to a busy work schedule and I suppose a bunch of laziness, I have not had a chance to complete my final blog until now. For those of you who have been following my journey, I am sorry for the delay. I am from Georgia, but I have lived in California for the past few years. I have been working as an engineer since I got out of school six years ago. I have grown tired of working the never changing rat race of ‘normal life’, so I am embarking on a multi-year round the world journey, a retirement of sorts, beginning with a winter contract job in Antarctica.
