Thao Suranaree Statue

Aka Yamo, the statue commemorates the heroics of the female leader who saved the city from the assault by the advancing Laotian forces some 150+ years ago. This was enough to give her almost deity-like status, with worshippers paying their respects at almost all hours throughout the day.
