Rural Ecuador tour

Yesterday, we drove with our guide Edison from Cuenca to Baños with a stop at Alausi to ride down the ´Devil´s Nose´ on a train. The drive was long, but gave us an excellent look at some of Ecuador´s rural agricultural areas. Stunning views, and lots to see. Compared to the tour from Cuzco to Puno in Peru, the folks in Ecuador seem better off than their rural Peruvian neighbours. This ... read more
