Well, your post was like the last satisfying sip of morning coffee.
I sure have been missing your daily adventures. I was delighted to see a Los Smith email alert pop up. From the photos, I could see that Suriname was really steaming hot. The wooden cathedral is amazing, they accomplished such complex architecture with wood. Astrid and her family look like great people. The Roti!!! Oh my god - they were gigantic. Yummmmm! It's really heart-warming to see all the people that you connected with along the way. Thanks for sharing with us. It was great to see you guys in Gimli, exhausted though you were. Take care, have a great summer.

Amazing as always Smiths!!!!! LOVE reading about all your adventures and the pictures I'm sure just don't compare to the real thing and just plain being there!!! It all sounds so exotic...butterfly farm...are you kidding me. We are looking forward to having you guys back in our hemisphere. Just looked at the calendar and was pleasantly surprised that the grand Krentz / Smith Red Wine and Sushi Summit is not that far away. I know this is the first you have heard of that event (I just planned it right now) but I will expect your attendance and exhuberant participation. Soak up the sun and enjoy the last bit of the trip. Bruce p.s. I loved the line "the connection speed could charitably be described as glacial" I did a day of cutting wood and that rolled through my head over and over.

Happy Easter
Marla, Dan and the boys and I have returned from visiting the tulip fields in La Connor/Skagit Valley in Washington state...acres of blooming tulips in all gorgeous shades as well as fields of daffodils...undescribsble as to the beauty..the Easter bunny managed to find us so the boys were happy..back to cool cloudy weather after a few sunny days. Lynn has arrived in Gatwick for the Royal wedding. Have fun and enjoy the remainder or your excursion .

Regresso a la caraterra de información. Splurged on a new mac for mi cumpleaños. So, I am catching up with you. You've had me travelling all over the place, all in one day. So, are you NOT going to learn Caribbean Dutch? I'm with you, after committing time to Espanol, I feel I can never travel to any place where I can't inflict my mal lingua on la gente. Your blog has been such a gift. You are such great writers! I feel like I'm with you all the way. The only place that I'm not jealous about is the humid heat in Surinam. Blah! I haven't been a tropical bird for a long time. Salud. lg

Can't say I've kept up with your blog lately, but your latest jungle adventure sounds like fun, despite only a few details. On a school note Pauline - if we order you library tables do you want round or rectangle? There is extra money at the SBO and they are offering to purchase some furniture so I thought I better check first. Thanks for getting back to me. Just Checking in
Hello Friends, Great to see it is all still rolling along on the incredible adventure. Summer is almost here now and I think the worst of the flooding is probably over. Our garage got it last week but it has slowed considerably. I asked Kane to let me know if he needed a hand with anything. Hopefully no news is good news. If I get a chance, I will "happen to be in the neighbourhood" this weekend. It was cold all week but will warm up tomorrow. Budd is in town tonight, haven't seen him in a while so am looking forward to some tall tales from his world. It is no turtle beach, machu-poo-poo, or galapagos islands but we manage to make some fun Murphy's music reciatl is in May some time just after you are back I will get you the date, maybe Abey can make a guest appearance in the group percussion ensemble thing. Enjoy the rest of your grand adventure!
