This is a little how I felt when I went to the Anne Frank Museum, the place where they actually lived, hardly living for years, in constant fear. They left the rooms empty, just a few magazine pictures that Anne had glued to the wall with plexi over them. It was very sad. It sounds like you had an amazing time.
