Elegant and a page out of the past. On Sunday morning people were dressed - ties, blazers, even hosiery. We strolled through the lovely lobby, watched croquet players, and enjoyed the ambiance.
Jekyll Island, Georgia October 27th 2010 Our stop at Jekyll Island was unplanned. We had a little extra time before our reservation at Fort Desoto County Campground in the Tampa Bay area, took a look at the map, did a search for camping on Jekyll Island and headed toward the ocean. We are a couple, now in our early 70's, traveling in a 34" Holiday Vacationer Motor Home. Wes is a GE pensioner who just ended a 50 + year career, most recently consulting with the company.
