This past weekend I went to Huaraz. It is a city in the sierra, and it is well-known for its lagoons and mountains. There are two mountain ranges that run through Huaraz. Amazingly, one of the mountain ranges has snowy peaks and the others are dark. Rightly so, they are called La Cordillera Blanca and La Cordillera Negra (White and Black Mountain ranges).
