Gates to Ghost City
Fengdu was a bustling city of 750 million people before the dam flooding. It is now only a tourist place, with most of the people having been moved to the other side of the river into new housing.

Day 4: The excursion today is the the city of Feng Du (city of the dead). Ancient Chinese belief is that when a person dies, they automatically go to hell, but there is a special way to get out of hell and into paradise. This is now Rick and Gail's four year adventure teaching in China. After having spent 2 years in Dalian, we are now planning on another two years. We both have new jobs with Maple Leaf Schools; Rick as Deputy Principal on the Boys Campus and Gail as Asst Language Elective Director. Although we will both be working hard, the new challenges will keep us young! We are looking forward to new travels and continued adventures. ... full info
