The Underground Karez Irrigation Site

Visitors are welcome to the Underground Karez Irrigations System through an underground museum, and are then able to walk some lengths along the still in use channels, bringing its life to the desert around Turpan. It has been in use for unknown years, and continues to be the source of the precious waters, that bring Turpan to life.
