Spring, 2009 in Richmond

The Grace Yoga mission statement includes the acronym PACE, Preparation, Affirmation, Cultivation and Education. Today, I am in the midst of preparing for a trip away from home. Arlene Bjork has practiced and taught ashtanga vinyasa yoga since 1997. She was inspired to begin her avid practice after she realized during her first yoga class that her back pain from scoliosis had completely disappeared. After spending time in New York and Denver studying various traditions which she incorporates into the Vinyasa practice, Arlene settled in Richmond, Va with her family.
