Search for cassowary

Day 72 Mission Beach This morning we go on a search to see a cassowary, they are flightless birds (like emus) which can grow to over 6 feet tall. The endangered species live in the forest areas around Mission Beach so we went for a walk to Lacy Creek where they can be commonly seen. We are leaving on January 27th with our rucksacks and travelling for 6 months, returning on 11th July. Below is our itinerary and we hope to update an Internet Travel Blog and include the web address below if you want to follow us around the world. 27th January - Fly to Lima - Peru We will spend a couple of weeks in Peru staying at a desert retreat and getting a train up Machu Picchu to following the Inca Trail.
