It was my 29th birthday, Sunday 16th April. My flight from Mexico City to San Francisco took around 5 hours, and I arrived at 7pm. I checked in to the hotel, and got unpacked. I decided to go out to get some water from a grocery store, and as I was crossing the road, I was knocked over by a speeding taxi.
