While Jeff was teaching his class this morning, Alberto and Elizabeth took the kids and I to the Mercada de la Marina marketplace. (See lots of pictures.) It was really baccan (Jeff’s favorite new word which means cool). It was similar to a farmer’s market in Atlanta, except for the fact that all the meat is just sitting out in an open market with no refrigeration or even air conditioning. ... read more
