we stayed the night in the village in a nice wooden guesthouse. clean air. good food. nice views like this. too bad we did not know we would enjoy it so much. we would ahve stayed a few more days but we already had flight tickets for the next day to Yunnan...

ah Yangshuo is how the lonely planet china starts the description of Yangshou. If I ever do a doctorate thesis in social Studies I will do it on the evolution of towns around the world from total anonymity all the way to Bali/Cancun resort towns.
