About 10 years ago,I met Jane and Jerry Williams, from Tampa, out in Bermuda.We were docked next to each other at the St. George Dinghy Club.We have stayed in touch ever since and exchanged visits in Maine and Tampa.I called them as I headed south and they graciously invited me to visit.I spent several days with them in Tampa,parked at their beautiful house on Tampa Bay.What an epiphany.My exper ... read more

open road

Open Road

I have just started on a new adventure,traveling the open road in an old(1984,23foot) Winnebago motorhome.I found it for sale on the side of the road in Maine last summer.It only had 37,000 miles on it.I bought it for a song and completely re-habilitated it(new carpet,upholstery,satellite TV,mechanical upgrade,etc)I am currently in Florida,plan to head west to see friends in Alabama and Texas,then head north to Sun Valley, Idaho for a couple of months of skiing.After that,I plan to take the RV to Bend,Oregon to leave it with my brother until next summer,when I plan to return and head to Alaska... full info
