Punat Monastery & KrK Town
September 22nd 2008 This morning we took a water taxi to the monastery located on an island just off Punat, We had to wait for the return and the skipper coaxed us into drinking some of the local firewater! The monastery dates back to the 12th century. It is currently habitated by the Franciscan monks. We then went to the town of Krk - a fishing seaport with lots of tourists.
