This morning we took a water taxi to the monastery located on an island just off Punat, We had to wait for the return and the skipper coaxed us into drinking some of the local firewater! The monastery dates back to the 12th century. It is currently habitated by the Franciscan monks. We then went to the town of Krk - a fishing seaport with lots of tourists. Dates back to Roman days and also is a medieval walled town. Wandered through the streets which had the usual tourist souvenir shops and had coffee at an outdoor cafe on the water. Tomorrow we are off to Zadar on the Dalmation Coast.

neat!
That place looks neat! I think I might have stayed away from the local firewater though!
