Von Luang Nam Tha waren es knapp 60 km auf weiterhin gut ausgebauter Straße bis zur chinesischen Grenze. Eine landschaftlich attraktive Strecke, größtenteil sanft hügelig entlang der Hänge schmaler Flusstäler.
