My favorite museum so far has been the Lorca Museum in Lima. It is housed in an old elegant house from the 1700s and contains the collection of one of Peru's leaders from the early 1900s. The continuting exhibit is high quality ceramics, textiles and metal work from all of the various cultures that have lived in Peru. There is one old Inca textile that has 398 threads per inch.
