Some of the remote properties on the QSS have no electricity or telephone,and are not linked by road eiehter - so unless they have decent boats of their own they are very reliant on the weekly mail boat for their regular contact with the outer world

Howdy doo di? We’ve just had a couple of nights in a place called Picton, situated at the North East point of the South Island.
