Bay of Fires, up the North East coast of Tassie.
It's so called because of the Aboriginal fires on the beach that were seen from the discovery vessels before settlement.

Hi guys. Not doing a big written blog this time - mostly just photos. As you can see, Launceston and the surrounding area of the north coast of Tassie is simply beautiful. The weather was mostly great while we were in this area, and as with Hobart, the peeps are uber hospitable and friendly. One thing (meant to add this in the gourmet blog but forgot) - there's a restaurant in Launceston ... read more
