On Saturday the Galvez's had a big engagement party for their eldest son Matthieu and his fiance Claire. Claire's family arrived late in the afternoon, and then her mom came later. She has two siblings whose names I completely forget (yeah, kinda typical of me!), and her parents are divorced. We started eating around 9:30pm, and finished at 1am! Hello, everyone! My name is Katie, and I'm 18. I speak French fluently thanks to my exchange to Rombas, France during 2007-2008. I spent one year abroad there, and I went to school at Lycee Julie Daubie. Although I had to make up a lot of work that I missed as a junior, I wouldn't ever take back that year I lived in France. I learned many valuable life lessons, and I plan to spend another year abroad in college! Honestly, learning a language is the best gift one could give to oneself and I highly reccomend anyone to participate in learning more about our world's cultures.
