Da vi ankom til Santa Cruz havde vinteren huseret med regn, blæst og 12-15 grader C i 14 dage - nok til at folk i byen var trætte af vintervejret. Vi bragte det gode vejr og den klare himmel med os fra San Francisco. Temperaturen om dagen lå omkring 20 grader C, som er væsentligt varmere end det normale for årstiden.
