Salar de Uyuni

The world´s largest salt flats were definately on our list of things to do in Tupiza. They sit at an average height of 3600m, but climb to altitudes of 5000m (surrounded by volcanoes and mountains which are much higher). The Salar de Uyuni is a massive 12,000 sq km.
