On the road to Popayan a sign on the gate of a huge fiels read “prohibido cazar armadillos” … translated “hunting armadillos not allowed”! Have yet to see a live armadillo …saw that dead one in Leon that cost less than a pound of red beans and did not go to the Zoo in Cali… An armadillo was not seen there either.
