Oh, mearm! (Translation: It got me!)

A section of my jellyfish sting, though I don't think sting is an appropriate word for it. I had experienced small stings in the past, but this was a full out assault. Hard to describe, a mixed sensation of fire and stabbing and tingling that seems to spread. We were far enough from shore and I was enjoying myself enough that I decided the pain would be the same whether I was back on shore or chasing fish with my camera... it was a good distraction-- for a while, at least. :)

Hello from Dominica! We had our Peace Corps mid-service training here (which we missed the first half of!), and are now spending a week here hiking, snorkeling, and visiting friends….and so far it’s been wonderful!
