Welcome to Dominica! Greetings Matt and Lauren...and welcome to our beautiful island! I see that you were introduced to the land of Adventure in true adventurous fashion :) So far, it sounds like you are up for it, and maybe you are one of the special people that will fall in love with Dominica for life. The adventure begins!!
amazing wow! the pictures and comments on the leatherback turtle pictures was amazing! thanks for sharing all that information and the photos! you two are being able to experience such great things!
WOW! My family once helped "birth" baby loggerheads with a "turtle patrol" in South Carolina- we are now big sea turtle lovers! I so enjoyed the blog and wish I could join you!
Take care.
Glad to see that you are having fun in St. Kitts!! I am also happy that I will be able to read about your adventures again now that you have a new computer!! Hope all is well and I am with Matt all the way-I would never miss the snow and if I had a choice I would be far far away from it!!!
You are in your element!!! Hi Matt and Lauren...I've just now been able to view these pix and it's after Christmas. Hope you've had a wonderful holiday. Things are well at Westlake but we miss you so. Yvonne and I are working for Debbie AM and around the building (SSC and Library) for the remainder. When I saw the pix of Matt with "Little Man" I started to cry. You are so in your element for these children. Damani has become my new project since we lost Katherine. I'm making some strides and I adore him. Kudos to both of you for what you are doing. If you ever get a chance to email out catch me at "pjmonroe@sbcglobal.net". Hope 2007 is wonderful for you!!! Hi guys! Hey guys!! Brandon told me about your blog, so now I get to stalk your progress through the Peace Corps!! Hope things are going well and I will be praying for you!!
Hey Lauren and Matt,
Glad you all are getting settled in. I went to optometry school with a girl whose fiance went to vet school in St. Kitts. I had no idea the rental properties were so exorbitantly priced, but I can see how having all the students in the area could cause that to happen. I'm heading to Tanzania in two weeks and am excited to see somewhere completely new and different. By the way, how did "whitey" do in the race?
You all take care!
Shay
interesante! Hey you two! Brandon just gave me this link. Such a fascinating experience so far - I am eating it up. Thanks for the detail. I can't wait to hear more!
Take care,
Abby :-)
I can't think of a title..... Hey Guys, Glad to see you made to St. Lucia all right. I know it's not your final destination, but it is the start of your 2+ year adventure and I hope it all goes well. And maybe the wireles in the hotel is sign that you won't be out of touch too much with the rest of the world.

Take Care Now! Andy
He everybody! We are heading off on a 27-month stint with Peace Corps. We know we're going to the Eastern Caribbean, but we're still not sure which island :) We're also not entirely sure how often we will have internet access and be able to keep this site updated, but we will do our best!
