We pulled into Chiang Mai by train in the morning of September 13th, after a pleasant night on one of Thailand's clean and comfortable sleeper trains. We pushed through the crowd of touts and taxi drivers at the station until we found a man holding a sign for Eagle House, our chosen hotel.
