This was an interesting stretch of the wall. Behind the wall you can see the old weaponry building of East Germany - actually situated in the Death Strip between East and West. The workers in this building were the only ones permitted in the Death Strip. Underneath the wall is actually the remnants of dungeons used by the Gestapo in the Third Reich to 'question' people (in other words to beat and torture them til they spoke).
