Goodbye London. Goodbye Britain

To make a long story a bit shorter, we did make it back in time to change out of our sweaty clothes, grab a quick bite at the Fish and Chips restaurant, then dodge the rain on our way to the theater. Les Miz was great, McDonald's was fab and the next day we left the excessive heat of England and returned to the much more comfortable climes of the Poconos. I would still love to return and see all these great places we visited. Only this time I'd like to do it in the Spring or Fall.

All those candy bars I bought to bring home probably melted last night. Even after all those ales I consumed last night I still had difficulty sleeping through the night. How'd those Victorian women in their layers of petticoats and necklines up to their chins survive the London summers? People must've absolutely reeked back then.
