About a kilometer from the top, the group on their way to do a ceremony for the Pachamama stopped to take their shoes off. Walking the last part barefoot is another way to show devotion to the Pachamama and their sacrifice for her.

Sunday, 4 October, 2020 205 days since Covid arrived in Cusco 30 weeks and I’m still in lockdown with an 8pm curfew?
