Hi everyone not much to report on here. As you can see all the pictures here are from the Australia Zoo which is about 2 hours from Brisbane. We only had 2 nights in Brisbane so didnt get to see as much as we would have liked but we still enjoyed it. Our main trip was the Zoo where we spent the whole day. Had a great time there, you can walk about among the kangaroos which was cool. We got to feed the elephants and hold the koalas so a very interactive experience. Had our photos taken with a huge python which terrified the life out of me but I was glad I got over my fear and just did it, although I made sure I was only holding the tail of it and not the head!!!
After Brisbane we kept heading down the coast and stopped at Byron Bay for a couple of nights. It was lovely weather so spent some time at the beach although couldnt swim as its very popular with the sharks! There have been a few attacks recently and it was only last week that 3 young girls had to climb onto a dangerous

wreck as there were sharks circling them. Byron Bay seems like a good place to have a lot of fun. Everyone is very laid back and relaxed. After dinner we went for a walk about town. There was a huge crowd out in the middle of the street dancing away to a band who were playing Bob Marley. A great time being had by all. The police came along after 10.30pm as they had to stop playing then due to the noise level for residents but they were very nice about it and everyone moved off with no hassle.
Heading off tomorrow for Sydney, overnight bus to Bondi Beach - yey!!!!
