I got up early because at about 7 it was not raining, and I decided to dismantle the camp as soon as possible, before another cloudburst . At about 8 and it was raining hard again, anyway had almost finished dismantling camp, so I had to take things under cover, no problems. Then I 've made breakfast, I have met the couple of Germans and have been chatting . At the end it was almost 11 when I was on the road again. At Waimauku intersection I stopped for lunch and for thinking whether it is worth going to the beach of Muriwai. Must be nice, but that means 18km more, and also on this road there is a lot of traffic today, all the people of Auckland in their beach trip. At the end I decided not to go, about 500m from there I found a white small dog running on the road, it almost got killed by a truck. I've caught it and have led it to the shoulder, and in short time its owner was running down the street. Hence a few km over farms and overlooking Auckland on the horizon, then city. I got lost a couple of times, there was strong rain once again, but eventually I found the campsite of Avondale, which is west of central Auckland. Tomorrow it will be quite few km, and I inted to wash my camping tent good, I do not want more surprises like in the Christchurch Airport.
