It has dawned nice although the was rain in the night. Anyway not be fooled, there is a huge storm west of New Zealand and it seems that late evening it is going to be some thunderstorm. I hate thunderstorms! This morning I used the fast internet to get organized in the next steps of the journey. First I booked a hostel in Melbourne for the day I am landing there. So the first night and I have a place to mount my bike and get informations about australia. The second thing I've done is to investigate how to go to Tasmania from Melbourne. You can go by plane to Hobart or boat to Devonport. The plane is slightly cheaper, but bringing the bike I guess I will have extra fees. So at the end I decided to get
on the boat for about 330AUD, which are like 220 euros, I have a round trip ticket to Tasmania, the crossing takes about 12 hours (overnight ) and I will sear on an Ocean Recliner, a kind of armchair moderately comfortable, the cheapst option. The bike 's transported almost free, only 6AUD each way. Tasmania is not large, about 200 - 300km from east to west and maybe 400 from north to south. I will stay there 8 days and it seems that the time will be cold but clear in that week, so it looks good. After all these steps I have organized my last day in Auckland, I will stay at the hostel, I will get some box bike from a shop nearby and will go in the shuttle bus to the airport. I will rest better so and will make sure not to have problems if there is no box at the airport. After that I went out for a walk, out of curiosity I approached the tower of Auckland, having Youth Hostel card I was given a reduction of over a third of the price, I decided to make the turist today and climb the tower.
Not bad, good views, because this morning was clear. After I left here and I have gone to the bridge that crosses the bay, as you can not cross it other than ina a car, I've gone down the coast, bordering the marina and the posh neighborhoods. And from there to the hostel, again I have to move, because again a group of 50 people is coming, so I packed my belongings and I climbed the hill again to where I was staying yesterday. After havin lunch and a short nap I have walked to the Military Museum, which is in the top of a hill, surrounded by a park, not far from here.
