Tonight at around 5 someone was hanging around the tent, I heard after that it was a lamb that is running free in the farm, the same one that at 8 tried to get into my tent and later tried to eat my socks. No more mishaps while I had breakfast and I went out to 10 or so, new time. Hence I got a couple of hills to climb the Hope Saddle, and from there downhill for a while, then flat and one more major hill, from where I could see the sea again. Going down to the plain I saw the school and later the birthplace of Ernest Rutherford, an important physic in the atom discovery. After some km on the flat I have arrived to Nelson. I stay in the YHA hostel, being a member and being Low Carbon, I got a bed for 17NZD only, which is what it would cost me to camp anywhere else, basic camping of the DOC there are none nearby. I also took the chance to make reservations for the ship to Wellington and a hostel booking for tomorrow. I thought it was not necessary to reserve for the boat, is just a ferry. But apparently there is already some complete vessels, like the boat Tuesday at 6 am, they no longer accept any passenger more, and today is Sunday afternoon. At the end I will sail on Tuesday at 8 am from Picton, I've also got it cheaper booking in advance (just 61NZD bike included). I went out for a walk and visit the Center of New Zealand, which is the point that is administratively considered the center of the town of Nelson, which happens to be in the geographical center of New Zealand. It is a hill with good views of the sea and the mountains behind.
