The South Island

Hi from Queenstown!
We have crossed the Tasman Sea and are now in the south Island. We took the ferry in Wellington and arrived in Picton.
We then headed north to the Abel Tasman National Parc, a bit of paradise on earth! Rain forest meeting the crystal clear water of the tasman sea, something we really didn't expect to see in New Zealand.
We then drove East to Nelson, and south to Westport. On the way to Greymouth we saw a seal colony and the Pancake Rocks, really cool!
From there we visited the Franz josef glacier. We did an 8 hour tour of the glacier... great fun! but a bit cold!
Yesterday we were in beautiful Wanaka, and arrived in Queenstown late in the afternoon!
We haven't had the chance to see a lot around here, but we can already say this area is really amazing!

J'espere que vous allez bien, ici le temps n'est pas trop mal et nous profitons au maximum !
Nous avons traverse la mer Tasman et sommes desormais sur l'ile Sud. Nous avons pris le ferry de Wellington a Picton.
Puis nous avons pris direction nord pour le Parc Naturel Abel Tasman, un ptit bout de paradis sur Terre ou la foret tropicale rencontre les eaux crystalines de la mer Tasman, inatendu en Nouvelle Zelande.
ensuite nous avons pris direction Est et avons passe quelques jour a Nelson puis a WestPort ( a l'Ouest).
Sur la route vesr Greymouth nous avons vu une colonie de foque et des rochers bizares en forme de tas de crepes... tres sympat !
Apres ca nous sommes allez nous perdre sur le glacier de Franz josef pour une journee avec un guide tout de meme.
Hier nous avons marcher autour du lac de Wanaka et sommes arrive a Queenstown tard dans l'apres midi.
Nous n'avons pas encore eu la chance de visiter, mais le peu que l'on a vu est superbe !

Ya estamos en la isla sur de Nueva Zelanda. El dia 14 cogimos el ferry desde Wellington a Picton.
Desde ahi nos dirigimos al Parke Nacional Abel Tasman, que es como un paraiso terrenal! La selva tropical llega hasta las aguas cristalinal del mar Tasman... algo que no nos esperabamos encontrar en Nueva Zelanda.
Despues conducimos hacia el este, Nelson, y hacia el sur, Westport.
De camino a Greymouth, simos una colonia de focas y las famosas Rocas Pancake, una pasada!
Mas al sur visitamos el glaciar Franz Josef, que tiene la subida mas grande del mundo. Hicimos un recorrido de 8 horas con un guia y lo pasamos genial!
Ayer estuvimos en Wanaka, un sitio precioso, y llegamos a Queentown anoche.
Todavia no hemos podido ver mucho por aqui, pero ya podemos ver que esto es hermoso...

Calentamiento global
¿Y no se os ocurrió encender el hornillo en mitad del glaciar? ... ¡Qué bonitos paisajes! Pero hecho en falta una foto de alguna típica neozelandesa cachonda y buenorra. Besitos y ... ¡VIVA EL PATXARÁN!
