Today we climbed the Mt Robert; a steep sided mountain which overlooked Lake Rotoiti and several other mountain ranges. At the end of the Lake Rotoiti valley there where mountains still holding onto their snow. The climb up was suprisingly easy so we continued along the range for more views. As we started to descend the weather closed in, the clouds lowered, and as we returned to the van it started to rain. We'd made the best of the weather and did a pretty decent walk - but we really wanted to head up the valley further and do a 2 to 3 day tramp (hike). Maybe another time?... read more

Ahoj, pre tych, co uz citali predchadzajuci prispevcok, by som ich chcel upozornit, ze tam pribudol nejaky text a davnejsie aj nejake fotky - to len tak aby ste o nieco neprisli :). Takze z Christchurchu sme sa presunuli do Kaikouri, kde hlavnym bodom nasho programu bolo plavanie s delfinmi. Okrem toho su tam aj pekne hory, ako sme zistili a ktore prave boli zapadane cerstvym snehom na vrcholkoch. Povodne sme s delfinmi chceli plavat pri CHCH, ale tam bolo velmi zle pocasie a vsetky vypravy boli zrusene, tak sme sa pokusili tu. Ked sme prisli, tak nas hned schladili, ze najblizsi volny termin je asi o tri dni a tolko casu sme tam my stravit nechceli, ale zapisali sme sa na cakaciu listinu.
