It's been a while so have lots to tell you about - going to skip boring bits! From Lake Wanaka went to the famous Queenstown and I have to say I really didn't like it. After the small friendly local towns, few shops and emphasis on nature it was dissapointing to go to a place where there was no spirituality, no NZ identity and so big (not by UK standards). Fish & Chips - Billy Connolly Ate Here!

Gorgeous Blue Cod & Kumara (native sweet potato) chips and I sat exactly where Billy Connolly did =)

Curio Bay - Petrified Forest

Jurassic Site, fern like plant and nautilus fossils are on site (only found one, apparently people were taking them away from site!) Tree trunks shape in the rocks is awesome, photos don't do it justice, just think it's 60-80 million years old and then see all the tree trunks....very cool

NZ Great Humour

I love the humour here from genius road names like 'dead horse road' to things like this newly married couples home! =)

Yay! Liz Learns to use Shutter Speed!

The day after torrential rain if the sun comes out there are beautiful scenes first thing in morning at streams and falls - This was at Mclean Falls

Cheese Muffins - Yum!

Joy baked me some cheese muffins for my journey when I left, how nice.....you taking notes Mum??!! =p

Small Plane? I was at the back!!

Now this is a small plane and I was in it to cross to Stewart Island. Have decided anything smaller than about 100 people isn't for me! =)
