View on the way to Picton Today we drove from Nelson to Picton Ferry Port to catch the Ferry to the Wellington (The Capital) in North Island. The journey to Picton was only about 1hr 30 mins.
In Picton there was a mini train ride (FAO. Geoff/Dad/Mum - Like the ones we used to go on down Valley Road) which Helen and I went on. Lisa was in a meloncholly mood and not participating in the fun.
The Ferry journey was smooth and Wellington looked really good it was a shame we were there for only 1 night. It was nice to be in a normal city with tall buildings atlast!! The hostel was great...really modern. We got two for one drinks vouchers and a free meal in the bar next door, which was nice. We went for some beers around Wellington and then back to the Hostel to bed for the early rise for the trip to Lake Taupo.
Plus I managed to fix the Camera!!
