Paihia & The Bay of Islands

Day one of the Kiwi Experience and I'm picked up nice and early from Auckland town centre by the big green bus and we head to Paihia. We had a quick browse around Paihia before hopping onto a boat and taking a trip around the bay of islands. This would have been really nice had the weather not been so bad. It was extremely windy and the sea was very choppy. Lovely scenery though.
After the boat trip we headed back to the hostel for a shower and met some other folks there who had a camper van. This is where I met a chap from Milton Keynes called Mark who I became friends with. We freshened up and went for a bbq and quite a few drinks in the bar downstairs.
The next morning we hopped back onto the bus and headed back down to Auckland where we stayed for one night before making way to Hot Water Beach.
