2 weeks to departure

start point Well its only 2 short weeks til we depart for the big trip . First stop will be Broken Hill for the Outback Challenge for 2007 , this should be a great way to start the hoilday .
It has been a long time coming and we can't believe its finally here .

We will be heading around in a Nissan Patrol GU 4.2 turbo diesel ute in tow with a 17 Foot All Terrain 4X4 Camper trailer which should see us travelling and camping quite comfortably in any scenario . ( photos to come later )

Our rough trip outline is to travel around Australia anti-clockwise through the gulf region and onto kakadu to darwin to start with , from here we will either head south to the centre or west towards Broome depending on weather , time and how we feel at this point . this is only a rough idea and could change at any time .

Thats all for now gotta get back to packing and getting ready .

Hi kiddies, You're going to have a fantastic time - you'll meet great people (and a few idiots who shouldn't have a 4WD) and see some unbelievable country. Always stop and offer to help those in trouble even if they're not and the rewards will follow. I wish you both a safe and enjoyable journey.
