Just over a week before we leave now.
For those of you interested in knowing exactly where we will be along our journey, here are the locked in dates and times of flights that have been booked and paid for (in bold). Between flights…who knows where we’ll get to…but here’s a general idea.
- 29 April - 5pm - 11pm
Sydney Australia to Bangkok Thailand
- We will travel by train for about 2 weeks in Thailand, a few days in Cambodia, 2 weeks in Vietnam and whatever is left in China.
- 11 June - 9am - 2pm
Beijing China to Narita Japan
- 17 June - 6pm - 9pm
Narita Japan to Beijing China
- 18 June - 11am - 2pm
Beijing China to Helsinki Finland
- 21 June - 2pm - 3pm
Helsinki Finland to London UK
- 22 June - 6am - 12pm
London UK to Istanbul Turkey
- 5 July - 9pm - 11pm
Athens Greece to London UK
- After spending some time with Lew’s family in England, and buying a van to travel around in, we will fly to Ireland for a few days before getting back to England to pick up our van and head off across to France. Our general plan is to spend about 2 weeks in each country (except for Liechtenstein which might take only a day to get through). We’ll head South into Spain, back up through France and East to Italy, North to Switzerland and Austria, on to the Czech Republic, Poland and through Germany to Denmark where we hope to stay with the good friends we made while on our honeymoon in Fiji. We’ll then head South through the Netherlands and Belgium and then across to Munich in Germany to arrive in time for Oktoberfest in the last week of September. If we manage to sell our car to travellers in Germany, we’ll train it back to London; otherwise we’ll drive back before flying home.
- 15/16 October - 12pm - 7am - 8pm
London UK to Honk Kong China to Sydney Australia
I think we’ll be about ready for a solid bed and a front door to walk through by about then.
Cheers,
Lew and Holly

Whirlwind Tour - You guys Rock!
Have a blast Lew and Holly, I shall indeed think of you both with envy as I sit here in Sydney...lovely though it is! Denmark is great, I lived in Viborg and Aarhus for a year when I was 18. It was way cool!! I'll always remember the Elephant beer and very bleak baby jokes. Have fun, stay safe, keep smiling and enjoy the moments :-)
