Day 74
Lets here it for car 79 from laverton… that’s right abandoned car 79 in a range of 150km… we have seen around 350 of them and countless numbers of tires… Today not much happened, we pushed another 250 km today to make the total in this tank 782km and consumed 100l for around 12-13l/100km which we are happy with. We treat the truck to a tire rotation and a few little repairs that night. Hans and Anneke are impressed with our ability to wrench and common sense and state that they are not surprised to see us out here and even tell us of a few more remote tracks we have to check out. Followed by mentioning that they would not tell us about them if we were not competent so this makes me happy. We are doing something right. Lol. On our way into the roadhouse the road turns into the royal flying doctor landing strip.. the only section of paved road… it felt nice. We shower and have a burger and on our way in we pass a group of 5 trucks heading out, later we find out they paid to follow someone across the great

central road, crazy. Were doing it on our own with a 20y/o truck but then again she runs great. We push 100km out of town and camp in the bush again. A stunning clear night for about 2 hours then the rain came we got the tents covered and then the rain stopped.. dammit.
