Day 34 (Sunday 24-May-09, NJJ)
Luke made us bacon and egg rolls for brekkie before driving us to get the ferry to Rottnest Island. We hired bicycles to get around the island for the day which was fab and good exercise in the sunshine. We rode to Little Salmon Bay where we stopped for some time, had the lunch we'd bought at island entrance, and relaxed in the sun. On the way back to the bike rental place we stopped to see the Quokkas at the roadside, a good chance for Jamie to make some new animal friends, they were so cute. I hurt my heel on the pedal of the bike but Jamie trumped me as usual when he stubbed his toe on the ground. We had a wander up to the lighthouse before getting the last ferry back. Luke and Lisa met us at the other end and took us for a drive to Cottesloe. We had fish and chips followed by gelato. Back at the house we had wine and watched a DVD 'Severance'. Lisa and I went to bed afterwards. Luke and Jay stayed up to watch 'Survival Sunday' football.
