The PinnaclesThe PinnaclesThe Pinnacles

At sunset
There's a short walk along the coast that we did this morning. We walked to a lookout where there were some great views of the surrounding bays and of the town. We walked a little way further along the beach looking for the second lookout but we didn't find it. We didn't have a lot of time beacuse we had the tour this afternoon. The bays that we came across were even nicer than the part of the beach we saw yesterday and there weren't many other people about.

At 3:30pm today we were picked up and taken on a tour of the Pinnacles. Our driver was called Mike and it was just the two of us on a minibus but he still wore his headset to talk to us! It was great, he drove us to all the best spots and stopped at one point to follow snake tracks (sadly, we didn't find the snake) and kept stopping to dig up ground and he wouldn't tell us why until he found what he was looking for. After digging up a few small tunnels he found a sandgroper, a strange bug that has paddles at its front to help it

move. He's been doing the tours for years and so knew where to find lots of wildlife, we saw two emus quite close up, a few kangaroos in the distance and some gallahs too. He made us look at one of the Pinnacles while he honked his horn, I was expecting a kangaroo or something to come out and then this gallah poked its head over the top.

The sunset was gorgeous, really colourful and a bit eerie overlooking over the Pinnacles.
