Ready to Leave
Such a long wait for dad to finish the canoe racks and screens. Tuesday Night 31
stJuly
I had been waiting all day for dad to finish working on the bus. When we had finished dinner I went to the bus to go to bed. Before we left mum came in and gave us kisses and hugs. Dad just had to finish a few things then we could go. Finally at midnight we went. When I woke up in the middle of the night we had just arrived somewhere. Now I could really get to sleep.

Wednesday 1
st August
It was cold and misty in Bridgetown when we woke up. We drove off to an old settlers hut at Hester Brook and had breakfast. We found an ancient orange tree and collected about thirty even though they were a bit sour. After we drove off to my nanna Nornies in Australind to have lunch and say goodbye. Soon after we headed off to my brother Charlie’s in Fremantle. I was ecstatic to see my brother. Dad still had to do some more bits on the bus.
Thursday 2
nd August
On Thursday morning we went into Charlies’ truck. I had to do my schoolwork while
Jibberling
rubbish everywhere dad installed some lights and helped Charlie do his. After I had finished dad wanted to go on a bicycle ride I said OK but he said it would be a little while. I said “That’s OK I’ll chase the chickens”. I went to the chicken yard and stared to chase so I could catch one to pat them. One duck was fat and could’nt get away and when I finally caught him his feathers were really soft so I kept on patting him till dada got me. We pumped up out tyres then went into town to get screws. The ride to town was exciting and scary when we went down steep hills. The traffic was very dangerous so we had to be very careful.
Friday 3
rd August.
First thing on Friday I did my school work . After that Charlie and I went busking in the markets. When we didn’t earn any money I went busking at the mall and earned about twenty dollars. Then Charlie and I walked to the roundhouse which was W.A’s first prison. When we went up the top I noticed a few cells with wax figures of convicts in them. There

Lots of fun making junk sculptures in a historic ghost town. were stocks for locking peoples heads and arms in. We also went into the tunnel underneath the Roundhouse. We saw the remainds of the old Jetty and a whale vertebrae half the size of a table. We also saw a cell and I thought I saw some things like a ribcage of a human. Finally we had to go and find dad and I got an ice cream with part of my earnings.
Saturday 4
th August
On Saturday dad asked me to drill and screw the screens. Then I played with the chickens while Charlie and dad put the screens onto the bus. Next I watched a movie no my ipad. Later dad and I went shopping on our bikes and then to get a gas bottle for the bus. It was about 6.30 when we finally found a gas bottle and then we went back home and had pizza for dinner. (It was a bit floppy and spicy with chillies but still ok.) Then I went to bead ready to head off early the next morning. At Charlie’s place I also got to hold a baby python. I thought it was beautiful, as it was so smooth
Boat
Dad's fishing boat. and shiny, dad did too . The snake was about 30cm long and only 1.5 cm thick and about 6 months old. I’d love one myself but we need to keep other reptiles before we’re allowed to get a snake license.
Sunday 5
th August
At last we departed at 7.45am. I had a hot chocolate and a blueberry muffin as a treat before we headed out of the city. After that we drove to Bindoon .There we got some sweet oranges and mandarins and I saw an op shop so we went over and got some bins for the bus( ha ha ha , bins in Bindoon)
As we drove on we saw a truck that took up two full lanes . I thought it might be carrying an army truck because it had two massive tracks , but it wasn’t it was just a piece of equipment for mining.
After, we got to New Norcia we went to a museum about the about the Aboriginal mission started by Dom Salvado . The bit I liked best were the machines( many of them were made from bush materials). We drove for a couple more hours till

How cold can water be?
After the climb down the rail I slipped into the water on the next stage, but it was all too cold to continue. we arrived at Jibberling rest area. When we got there there was heaps of rubbish under every tree. It was disgusting and gross but the place was beautiful so I started cleaning it up. We mad a big pile of rubbish until some people came and camped right next to the rubbish pile. Then we started cleaning up rubbish and putting it somewhere else. We put a discarded Christmas tree in the middle of the rubbish to give a message to give a message , ‘Is this the Australia that you want?’ As it got dark we made a small warm campfire , had dinner and headed to bed.
