Kia Ora all,
My final days in Wellington were a bit of a nightmare, The British High Commision had not started my Visa application and with less than 8 days untill flying out, being told that i needed to order a new Birth Certificate from the Ministry of Affairs which takes 8 - 10 days made for a stressfull few days. The High Commision thought i was not leaving untill nearer July 16th. Goons. Anyhow in the end they came through with the goods, so here we are on route to U.K Typing this update from Kuala Lumpur.
Friday we arrived in Melbourne and after trombones (toby) picked us up, it was pretty much all on and the action began. Melbourne was a complete blast, Friday night we visited town and went to a club called O' Rileys then Saturday night we went to a club called 'Next Blue, or maybe it was New Blue... it was something Blue. Then we hit the Casion. Massive place, crazy people. Sun night we went down to the local for what was ment to be a quiet night just to play pool with Tobes and his flatmate Shoes (Cam is his real
name, he has a fetish for shoes... Raiser)
After saying goodbye to Tobes we boarded our 9Hour Flight to Kuala Lumpur. We meet this raving Japanese dude Mio Yesaki, not sure if that was his name but thats what we called him.
Arriving in KL at 11pm was awesome, we walked out the airport and the heat smacked us back a bit. Real humid over here. I guess the first thing i noticed was the technology that this city has. You walk out the airport and stand on moving footpaths, then when you catch a 'AirTrain' which takes 5 minutes and it drops you off where you collect your bags. We had a taxi there to meet us which was great as we were both pretty tired after a big first weekend. We walked around town for a bit and both of us soon adjusted to the new culture we found ourselves in. Heaps of Saudi / Chinese / Malay and Taiwanese people. Felt crazy being one of only a few white people around but it has been great.
Yesterday was shopping, the Malls around here are mad, Westfield should send their scouts out here to see
how to really build a shopping mall. Ill add a couple of pics of the Visaci Mall.
We picked up our Sensation White gears so are all equiped for the big night this Saturday. The party is at Amsterdam Arena and there will be 40,000 people. It will be out of this world im sure. For those of you with broadband you can check out the trailor for sensation at http://sensation.id-t.com/ then click on the White link on the 1 / 7 / 06
We then saw the kings palace and was taken out to a shoping mall out in the whops by one of the many dodgy Taxi drivers that seem to be around. He charged us 50 dollar and then coming home only had to pay 18 dollar with another taxi. It seems you can bargin everywhere you go here. Every taxi we have been in we have been offered to be taken to the prostitute hotels. Lances head blew the other day when one of the drivers told him he looked like a body builder, the stud that he is.
Last night was CHina town, that was probly the highlight of our brief trip
to KL. It is insanley busy and every man and his dog taps you on the shoulder to try and sell you his 'goods' That was a real experience. We have heaps of video footage but will put that on the site at a later date. We then sat down for a beer in CTown and then strangley enough got chatting to these lovely people Suzanne and Paul (i think it was paul) and as it turns out they are from Holland and are on our flight tonight. Small world it is. They gave us heaps of tips and pointers and said that we will love sensation white, it is so big and everyone goes crazy. I cant wait.
The hotel we have been staying at in KL (called the Westin Hotel) is also phenominal. We get treated like royals here. The meals are incredible. We just keep eating and eating. Unfortunatly we didnt realise that we were being charged for our Orange Juices this afternoon as we had already checked out, somehow....we managed to spend $120 between ourselves on orange juices. Waste of coin that was. In the end the ladies serving us just bought us waters.
Can now see why they did this. Breakfast time they just walk up to you with platters and offfer you what they call 'Treats' smoothies and chocolate crosants along with numerous other things. Have never seen a hotel like this before.
Yipdee do dar its all awesome, we are both having so much fun.
Gota skadoodle for now, we are heading to Gym quick then will have final dinner before getting taxi to airport to depart on our 12 hour flight up to Europe.
Love to you all
James and Lance
